Yoga Tips

Tips and rules before starting Yoga Classes.

Classes should be chosen according to your needs. For example a gentle resorative class replenishes energy; a mixed ability class stretches the body and mind making you feel alive, awake and aware; an advanced class works on deeper levels of attention and awareness to help transform the body, mind and our emotions.

You should wear loose fitting comfortable clothing.
Classes are done in bare feet.
Do not eat for at least 2 hours before a class.
Do not drink water during the class but drink plenty of water before and after class.
Yoga equipment (mats, blocks, belts, blankets etc.) are available for use in the Space but as your practice progresses you may consider purchasing your own equipment.
Please inform the Teacher of any illnesses or injuries so that postures may be adapted to your needs.
Please inform the Teacher if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy.
When menstruating your body may be warmer and you may have less energy, so practice with respect, avoiding inversions and strong twists.

All information supplied will be held in confidence.

Yoga is a transformative process, developing awareness on physical, mental and emotional levels. If emotional release causes you concern please let your Teacher know or seek additional support if necessary.
If needed please feel free to ask for concessionary prices for classes or seminars.
Most of all enjoy the practice!
Please ring or email to book classes – thank you.
